Meadowvale has been manufacturing premium frozen custard, ice cream, and soft serve mixes for over 50 years. We are a 100% employee-owned company located in Sandwich, IL. Meadowvale is seeking a qualified Sales Manager for our Sales & Marketing team. This individual is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the Sales and Marketing department, managing budgets, setting sales quotas and goals, and monitoring and reporting overall performance.

Responsibilities of this Role

• Create and execute a comprehensive strategic Sales plan that expands our customer base and extends the company’s industry reach.

• Recruit Sales representatives, set objectives, develop training, coach, and motivate while closely monitoring performance metrics.

• Define territory Sales plans.

• Prepare Sales and Marketing budgets and approve expenditures.

• Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop plans to fill.

• Ensure that company quotas are met by holding daily check-ins with the Sales team to set objectives, resolve problems, and monitor progress.

• Work with internal teams to ensure seamless progress of new client orders.

• Identify where improvements can be made and develop success-driven plans.

• Communicate and foster relationships with clients.

• Visit key accounts to ensure exceptional service and product quality is up to Meadowvale standards.

• Perform market research and monitor competitor strategies.

• Create and deliver Sales reports to management team.

Skills and Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in managing the Sales function in a corporate setting.

• Proven record of success with the entire Sales process, from planning to closing.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.

• Superb leadership and team building ability.

• Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism.

• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

• Personal integrity.

• Bachelor’s degree.

More Information

This position is a full-time salary position, on-site in Sandwich, IL. This position will require some travel. Meadowvale supplies frozen dessert mixes to retailers in 43 states. A reliable method of transportation is necessary with mileage compensation at IRS recommended rates.

Meadowvale is a 100% Employee Owned company located in Sandwich, IL. We manufacture premium ice cream, frozen custard and soft serve mixes. As a growing company in the dairy industry, the main goal of this job will be to learn our production process and be able to plan out the production schedule.

You will engage in various office functions, such as order taking, processing, and customer service, to enhance your comprehension and proficiency as a production scheduler. No experience necessary in production planning, we are willing to train. You must be able to work from our office in Sandwich, IL.

Additionally, you may be involved in covering for other office roles during scheduled PTO.

Work hours are typically Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and manage inventory, reconciling and reporting discrepancies.
  • Familiarize yourself with sales processes, including order taking and processing.
  • Provide customer service and answer phones as needed.
  • Forecast sales and update the production schedule accordingly.
  • Handle production receipts and scan documents into customer files.
  • Learn the assembly of production runs, considering allergens and product types, ensuring timely completion to fulfill orders.
  • Cross-train in multiple office roles to cover during PTO.
  • Track sales for each mix product and report numbers.
  • Additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
  • Enter cash receipts and process payments via credit card or ACH.
  • Learn the processing of orders via electronic data interchange.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Organized with effective communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is preferred but not mandatory (training provided).
  • High school diploma required; college education is helpful but not required

Pay is negotiable based on skills and experience, with a range of $23-$25/hour.

Proficiency in mathematics, organizational skills, and effective communication with team members is essential. You must have analytical skills and be able to forecast and plan. This job requires 40 hours per week.
