Why the SQF Audit matters
SQF stands for Safe Quality Food and is a third-party food safety certification program with a strict set of guidelines businesses must follow. This certification is part of Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards. During SQF Audit, a certified 3rd party auditor conducts an extensive on-site review, typically over several days, of a processor’s facility, processes, and documentation. The audit reviews compliance of the standards for a safe food environment. It also tracks whether a business is keeping proper food safety documentation for all its processes and products. Finally, it gives each organization an opportunity to validate that their systems are achieving their goals and producing safe foods.
We maintain a HARPC-based food safety and quality system with supporting procedures for process preventive controls, sanitation preventive controls, allergen preventive controls, and supply chain preventive controls to address potential hazards.
