Looking Forward

So far, mix prices have been less volatile than predicted. As we head into the summer, there are always weather concerns lurking (drought, flooding, etc.) which can keep ingredient prices higher than they should be. It’s all about perception and it doesn’t take much bad news (or the potential for bad news) to move a market in one direction or the other. We are expecting ingredient and mix prices to increase as we move into the peak ice cream eating time of year.  At this point, we are seeing moderate increases. Let’s hope reality mirrors our expectations.
